Lets enjoy a half day excursion, in the outskirts of Lyon, combining a discovery of the Dombes region and a medieval village with a gourmet break !

On the way to Pérouges, you will cross the Dombes region famous for its thousand pounds and birds species. Take the opportunity to observe the landscape and birds while relaxing a bit, or get a stop at leisure of the Cistercian Abbey Notre Dame des Dombes* dedicated to silence with a sober architecture.

Head to Pérouges, for a flashback into the past and more particularly in the medieval time ! Thanks to a great restoration of the village, you will enjoy touring into narrowed pedestrian streets of the hamlet.

After some time on your own to visit the village and boutiques, meet at the Ostellerie de Pérouges, the main café restaurant of the village.
You will be served the authentic Galette de Pérouges with a cider bawl.

* The Cisctercian Abbey is closed on Tuesdays.
