9:00 Meet with your English-speaking tour guide in the lobby of your hotel.
Let’s start with a walk to the famous Vieux-Lyon section (Old Lyon), where you will visit the Renaissance district of Vieux-Lyon, today registered at the Unesco World Heritage list.

On route you may get the opportunity to pass thru the daily outdoor food market on St-Antoine Saône bank ! (except Mondays)

Then, after a sweet tasting stop on route (you may try our brioche Praline or chocolate/local specialty), you will reach the top of Fourviere Hill (use of the cable Car named ‘la Ficelle’).
You will embrace the whole view of the city, and understand how the city is structured with its 3 main areas (Old Lyon/Presqu’île/Modern Part)

Let’s go down Fourvière hill, crossing the ancient Gallo-roman ruins, and get back to the pedestrian streets of Old town.
This will be the time for a new tasting combining local specialties & glass of wine…

According to timing, you may finish with the large Terreaux Square or alternatively with a cross into the Hotel-Dieu magnificent building (once hosting the former Lyon Maternity, and now converted into a mix of boutiques, restaurants & the Lyon Cité de la Gastronomie….)

13:00 Your guide will let you discover more on your own for your afternoon time or will propose to drop you off at your hotel in Lyon*.
